Think of all the things your child learns without having to be taught

I get stressed out sometimes reading parenting blogs. All these great activities, all the crafts, all the things other people's children can do. I'm not a crafty mum, I'm not a teacher, is my daughter losing out?

But you know then I think of all the things my daughter learns just through life. Maybe I don't have to teach her. More than any lesson plan or early years curriculum, just living life alongside me and others is teaching her.

I've decided to blog every week about the things she learned without having to be taught. [http://sparklingbay.blogspot.com/2012/01/living-learning.html would you like to join me and share what your child/ren are learning through life?]] My hope is we can all give each other heart and encouragement.

Sorry wahwahwah what do you mean? I meant that, while crafty activities are lovely and fun, we don't have to stress about doing lots with our kids. They learn so much just through living alongside us I think.

Duh, should read posts!

I like teaching DS all the things my dad used to teach me - about the stars, nature... and all those very odd sayings that my mum used to have.

Sounds fab. Do you find that if you like it and do it that they just pick it up anyway! i wish someone around me had been interested in the moon and stars!
