For June/July time.

We have international bloggers that if they had enough time to prepare could make it too.

What do you all think?

Meet up where?

butterflyexperience · 05/01/2012 12:25

London?
Birmingham?
Nottingham?

OP posts:
MmeGuillotine · 05/01/2012 15:33

I'd be interested in going but it depends where it is and when and stuff. :)

celebratingmums · 06/01/2012 09:31

Would be fabulous to see something in the North to be honest as so much happens in London already

butterflyexperience · 06/01/2012 14:47

Well how about something midway like Nottingham or Birmingham?

OP posts:
MmeGuillotine · 06/01/2012 15:14

Ooh, it would be interesting to go back to Nottingham (I went to the university) as I was complaining the other day that I haven't been back for years and it feels a bit weird seeing as it was such a big part of my life!

butterflyexperience · 06/01/2012 16:40

Let's let a few others vote then make our decision

I Nottingham by the way Grin

I might consider it . If MmeLindor wants to do it we should arrange it while she is in the uk. Nottingham is fine with me too.

MmeLindor. · 07/01/2012 11:55

Interested in theory but have to check with parents on childcare etc

Am in uk from march to june

PetiteRaleuse · 07/01/2012 12:38

I would love to come to a meetup but rarely get back to the UK. Shall watch this thread enviously from afar Envy

butterflyexperience · 07/01/2012 14:05

We can do a spring thing Smile
Will be lovely to meet a few of you!

Is a lunch thing better for people, or shall I look into booking a hotel rooms for a night out?

OP posts:
DillyTante · 07/01/2012 19:01

Lunch would be a better thing for me. Over night a bit impractical.

MmeLindor. · 07/01/2012 20:43

If it somewhere I can get to in a day by train, then I can do lunch.

DillyTante · 07/01/2012 20:45

From where in Scotland?

MmeLindor. · 07/01/2012 20:48

Dundee. Will have a look at train times. Where are we thinking? Nottingham.

MmeLindor. · 07/01/2012 20:50

Oh, feck. That is far away. No, that is not going to happen.

I do have an Aunt in Leeds, I could swing by and visit her and then come to the meetup.

MmeLindor. · 07/01/2012 20:54

I would fly down if I could get a cheap flight. And there is an airport nearby.

overmydeadbody · 07/01/2012 21:14

I could possibly be interested in a meet-up. Even the thought makes me break out in a cold sweat though, I am quite shy in real life.

I'd love to meet you all though Grin

If I summoned up the courage to come, I could probably make nottingham, and a day time meet up would be best for me. Or you could all come to Cambridge Grin

MmeLindor. · 07/01/2012 21:18

I don't think that I can fly to Nottingham, or anywhere close. Would it be possible to do it somewhere I can fly to? Not really bothered where.

overmydeadbody · 07/01/2012 21:36

Where can you fly to Mme?

MmeGuillotine · 07/01/2012 22:00

West Midlands Airport is the 'local' one to Nottingham.

MmeGuillotine · 07/01/2012 22:01

Actually, it's probably been renamed something suitably poncey now. Although I think somewhere else nabbed 'Robin Hood Airport' before they could...

butterflyexperience · 07/01/2012 22:08

It's east midlands airport :)
Not to far from city Center maybe a 30 min drive.

If it helps I'm happy to play taxi for the day for pick ups and drop offs to east midlands airpot.
As long as you all got there roughly at the same time!

Oh gawn omdb, would be lovely to meet you, and I'm pretty shy too if that helps Smile

OP posts:
butterflyexperience · 07/01/2012 22:10

Oh and would anyone from Mnhq like to come too? Smile

OP posts:
MmeGuillotine · 07/01/2012 23:03

Oh yes, that's the one. I went to Paris with my university course from there once and it seemed pretty close but I was kind of asleep in both directions...
