I think my home page is really boring, how can I spice it up?

I'd welcome some ideas on what to do to make it more interesting.

My blog is here

It's certainly one of the more visited areas of my site and I'd love to capture some more of the passing traffic.

Would you mind having a look and seeing what you think? I don't want to put loads of personal info on there, but it would be nice to have a bit more.

What would you find interesting, or like to know?

Oops - I meant my About Me page.

Sorry for any confusion.

Hi, I think you could really perk it up a bit with a picture of yourself! You don't have to reveal anything, if you don't want to. Hold a wooden spoon out in front of you, partially hiding your face, or a teapot. Then you get a bit of your own style in there too. And I reckon you should write a bit more about yourself. What do you study? What is your work? And maybe, because it's on mumsnet, a bit about your family. I think what you've got is fine, but you just need a bit more of it. This is ours www.crumbsfeedyourfamily.blogspot.com/p/about-us.html (I do my blog with my sister). It's not brilliant, but hopefully it gives the reader a flavour of who we are and what we're about without them having to do too much work looking for that info. I hope that's helpful!

Your blog looks lovely. Love the photography. I'd stick some more widgets in the sidebar, I have recently updated my About me marisworld.co.uk/index.php/about-2/ and am always on the lookout for feedback

This is my "about me" pageI keep changing it though. Have a look at the "about me" pages on loads of other blogs, see what you like and adapt it for yourself.

Thanks everyone, that's really helped! Your blogs are great, very inspiring.

I've updated my About me page, what do you think?

I'm planning on doing some reorganisation (actually using the pages rather than keeping on putting stuff on one page) so will stick some more widgets in when I do that next week, Maris. I'm also planning on putting some new photography up at the same time.
