Micro-blogging on Twitter

Hello,

Is it just me? Why is self-publicity for my blog so hard? I have exhausted my circle of friends and neighbours and would love to connect with more people.

Thanks, MNBN, you are great for helping me do this. But, I feel there could be so many more.

I have started tweeting when my blogs are updated and I know from site traffic that I am getting page views, but very few followers Sad.

I will be making it my New Year's goal to collect 100 followers on Twitter. Does anyone have a smart idea on how to start?

Many thanks and BW for a happy, blogging 2012.

Tweet, follow others and Tweet to them, go to other blogs and read and comment. That's how you build followers.

Thanks Tee2072,
Will be brave and bold...

tee or anyone else, can you give me an idiot's guide to tweeting? (and I mean Idiot with a capital I! Blush) I have a twitter account, but do nothing with it, don't know how to do anything with it (have never tried tbh) and would love a shove in the right direction! :)

Thanks Tee. And MmeLindor - really great, easy to read Twitter guide.

Thanks, Tee

You have to communicate on Twitter. That is it really. Talk nonsense, or comment on what others have tweeted or blogged about. It will come.

Yep, just keep going. I am less than 1000 followers on twitter and have been going at it for nearly a year. Just follow people, interact where you feel confident, say hello, and be tenacious. Good luck :)
