I'm crap and can't decide. Should I send extended family presents this year?

I am at home with dd who has chicken pox so my preparations are muddled as I can't go out. Therefore I am cantankerous and unreasonable.
I have a large family. I usually send big boxes of very nice chocolates to all my brothers and sisters and their families.
It dawned on me today that
A) only two of them ever thank me
B) Only two of them buy gifts for any of us
C) some of them don't even send us a card or call
D) This has been going on for about 7 years.

Shall I just stop? Is it bloody obvious or should I hang on to the 'but they are family' thing?

Stop. But you may send one to me.

Pagwatch · 09/12/2011 17:47

I will stop. I will do as you say sue

If you want chocolates you just have to send me your real name and address and trust that I won't send toe clippings or other weird stuff. I could be a nutter.

I'd prolly risk it for chocolate Grin

No, don't listen to me. Never listen to me. Ask Hully or someone. Pinot.

I think you should stop too.

Put the money in a charity box and tell them that that is what you have done.

They really do not need the chocolates!

Stopit. I've recently stopped sending my nephew a Christmas cheque in his card after realising that he's 30 years old and I have never had a thank you. I still send my niece one though because she always thanks me and can be bothered to keep in touch occasionally

Yeah I should stop.

It just seems odd. I feel sort of obliged. [sigh]

They won't ask Collision. They are not that rude. But pretty rude.

If A) and B) are the same two, I would buy for them but stop for all the others.

Pagwatch · 09/12/2011 18:01

Yes they are shineypenny.
I will keep buying for them. One of those two is fab and we are close so I will keep getting stuff for her. The other is less so but always comes to see the dc before Christmas and always speaks about the choccies and how they are like a welcome tradition. Which is lovely Smile
