I'm really pleased to have been accepted by MN as a new blogger. I've started it in response to the cancer thread that ran in AIBU for a few days this week.

It's catchy title is: The Acute Lymphosblastic Leukaemia Diary. Xmas Hmm I'm sure that will grip many readers. It is about my daughter's diagnosis with ALL back in January and the treatment for it that she is still undergoing.

It is for my therapy. It has only been going for 3 days and I've already done loads of posts. I'm hoping it will help me through some pretty bleak times.

I've been a MN member for years, under different user names (sneaky).

Well done, Kinky! Writing and blogging are such great therapy for dealing with a child's illness - my daughter has Type 1 diabetes - and I'm sure that sharing your experience will help others who are going through the same thing. Will take a look at your blog now.

My blog YoungByName isn't only about my daughter's diabetes but diabetes does feature quite a bit in it and blogging does help me deal with it. If you type "diabetes" into the search box it brings up posts that mention it. Here's the most recent post I've done about diabetes. so you can see what I mean.

I will have a read. Thanks. I've followed you. I'm not sure that mine is up just yet, as I've only just had the email. I'm eager! Xmas Grin

YoungDebbie I've run Readathon at school every year for the past decade. It is rather odd to now be on the receiving end of these charities though. Well done for your work with it. It's a great scheme.

Oh, that's why I couldn't find it then! It took a day or two to get mine posted up when I started (may be longer over the weekend) but so exciting when you finally see it there! [Xmas Smile

Glad you like Readathon - it's such a great charity to work for, I never mind going to work!
