Why, after 30 years, is it being reinvestigated?

Just think people want a bit of attention, money etc

What I find odd is her sister saying NW was terrified of water and would never go on a dingy - if you were terrified of water would you even be on a boat unless really necessary and drinking as well. Also find it a bit odd about a witness coming forward 30 years later saying she was initially ignored.

That's what I thought too. I have been really busy last week, so this really only penetrated my mind this morning.
I vaguely remember hearing on the news that she was a strong swimmer. How can you be a strong swimmer and scared of water?
And, why bring it all up 30 years later?
