Well, it's about time.

Now all we need are furnishings and decorations...Wink

Thanks to that Lucas vid of Massive's I have only narrowly avoided a trip to A&E and have had to resort to the chippy for the DCs' dinner.

Must. Not. Look. At. Vids. Whilst. Cooking. Dinner.

DumSpiroSpero · 25/11/2011 17:52

Sorry, Lady D, but I had to LOL at that. What have you done - are you ok?
I have had a couple of near misses with hot oil lately, and managed to cremate a farewell tart the other night.

Do you think the Man has any concept of he trail of havoc he leaves in his wake?! Hmm Blush

Twigs our fairies haven't been for months. I have spent the last few days trying to think of an excuse and all I can come up with is that they've been helping their friends in NZ and Japan recover from the earthquakes, which seems plausible but a little macabre.

If anyone has any better ideas feel free to let me know Confused

Oh, golly, sorry, LadyD, I didn't mean to rain disaster upon you. What happened?

Of course, such gorgeousness is bound to have a cataclysmic effect.

TheSmallPrint · 25/11/2011 18:22

Hello ladies, no time to catch up today or tonight really, just waving and running. Looks like there are some vids up there ^ that need my attention tomorrow. mwah!

TransylvanianVampiress · 25/11/2011 18:32

Running in just to bid you good knights!! Off out and been running around like a very busy thing all day! Catch up tomorrow but I too hate Mary's!!! Should have a strict rota and it shouldn't always be the pretty ones! But I agree they dot actually get to say much!!

DD is a school child so that's easy!!

You all and your fairies - you're ace!!
Must dash! Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 25/11/2011 20:08

There are no words...! Grin

Oh poor MissSpiro, I hope she's feeling a bit more cheerful now.

Am loving the fairy ideas too, as soon as MistressD reaches that phase I will be shamelessly stealing them!

The Lucas Dinner Disaster involved me trying to take a baking sheet with 4 salmon fillets inside greaseproof paper bags. Needless to say, it is not a clever idea to be ogling Lucas at the same time as the baking tray tends to tilt alarmingly, tipping the bags floorwards. It is an even less clever idea to then try to catch the bag in order to avert consumption by dog. A flimsy greaseproof bag filled with boiling liquid is surprisingly hot and also explodes when you drop it with a screech.

Luckily I did myself no lasting injury and the dogs enjoyed their salmon poached in white wine and the MiniDs enjoyed their fish and chips so no harm done Grin.

PassTheTwiglets · 25/11/2011 21:05

Oh no, LadyD!!! And salmon is bloomin' expensive to be dropping on the floor as well :( At least you are ok though.

Spiro, our fairies can't fly when it's rainy or foggy. In the Tinkerbell films they can't fly if they get their wings wet so that was handy :)

LadyDamerel · 25/11/2011 21:23

Ach, don't worry about me, Twigs. It was my own stupid fault for watching the vid twice while attempting to cook Grin.

SupermassiveLBD · 25/11/2011 21:31

Hello, again. Cr*p telly night, here, so I have been watching that Sense and Sensibility DVD. I do love a nice period drama. Lot of bonnets, an illness, several disappointment in love, a ball, and a double wedding. Par for the course Grin

The riding was pants, though. Sacks of potatoes on horseback, the lot of them. I know

I ROFL'd at the Porter game, though I question the wisdom of actually dressing him.

And after tonight, LadyD must own the UK's most aristocratic dogs. I can just imagine them bragging to their friends, next time in the park.
"Pedigree Chum? Do you call that a dinner?"

PassTheTwiglets · 25/11/2011 21:36

Was your DVD grainy, Massive? I got it for Xmas last year and am sure I had a faulty DVD. I know it was like that at the time but I just wnted to yell "FFS, tell him/her that you love them!" Very frustrating.

SupermassiveLBD · 25/11/2011 21:44

No, Twigs, it was perfect and crystal clear. We must have got a special export quality pressing Grin I thoughly enjoyed ogling all the lovely settings as well as the cast.

Shame about the riding, though. Wink

TheSmallPrint · 25/11/2011 22:01

Pah! I haven't got flash on my phone so can't play the Porter un dressing game.

LadyDamerel · 25/11/2011 22:04

Oooh, now this makes me feel a bit odd. If you go onto that clip of Gizzy riding that Massive just linked to and where it says 'number of views' there is a little graph. If you click on the graph it shows you where the video is linked to/from. MN is first and third in the list but if you then click on the link in the third position you get links to all our threads.

You might have to do it to see what I'm talking about but I'm not sure how I feel about it.

(Although we have viewed it 52 times since July - that's pretty good going Grin)

SupermassiveLBD · 25/11/2011 22:08

Now they'll all be wondering why we are all so interested in equestrian pursuits, LadyD!

Mind you, i don't suppose many folk will notice the little graph, anyway.

PassTheTwiglets · 25/11/2011 22:14

It would bother me if there were links to our RL selves but at least we are A Nonny Mouse here. I didnt know the graph was there until you mentioned it...

DrT is trying to convince me that he's a Ninja. It's not working.

DumSpiroSpero · 25/11/2011 22:17

Perfect - I needed a laugh!

Have just spent the last hour and a half in the bath reading ATSS again, and had to tear myself away from it before I dissolved into a puddle of snot and disappeared down the plughole.

On a happier note is the other vid I was talking about earlier.

OP posts:
LadyDamerel · 25/11/2011 22:19

No, that's true enough. I'll stop fretting now.

I only clicked on it because the number of views didn't change when I viewed it for the third time Blush.

LadyDamerel · 25/11/2011 22:22

I've just realised you said DrTwigs is pretending to be a Ninja, Twigs. Why? Or is that a daft question?

DumSpiroSpero · 25/11/2011 22:25

Twigs please don't tempt me to whip a photo of Dr Twigs from Facebook and Photoshop him into a ninja costume!

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 25/11/2011 22:26

Oh Spiro, that was so lovely! Dig the wibblesome eyelashes at 0.23

PassTheTwiglets · 25/11/2011 22:27

Oh he's always aspired to Ninja Status, LadyD. This current bout was prompted by QI mentioning them... (Ninjas never wore black apparently).

PassTheTwiglets · 25/11/2011 22:28

Oh Spiro, that would make his day :o
