How would you respond to this comment made by my DD's teacher at parents evening

"She could really do to be on a year one curriculum but we have to cater for all the children"

How is that catering for all the children by not catering for my dd's needs?

How bizarre! If I knew I was short changing a kid in my class I would certainly not say so! I would go back and ask for extension work. Does the school use Education City for on line do at home stuff? That could work and would not add to the teacher's workload which should get her on side.

Thanks for the suggestion, I'll see what the teacher can give her. She plays education City quite a bit as she has a home subscription
