I know this is a long shot but its been two long years of searching so I would be eternally grateful if anyone could help...
In 2009 I managed to lose my two year old son's beloved Little White Company stripey monkey! It was a knitted soft toy monkey and was bought for him on the day he was born by my Father. My little boy was heartbroken and my Dad and I did everything we could to try and replace him but by then it had been discontinued and was not available anywhere. I tried eBay and collectors forums and charity shops for well over a year. I posted on here and any other mum/baby forums I could find, everywhere I possibly could think of basically but it was all fruitless.
Recently my son needed a baby picture for school (he is now 4) so we went trawling through the photo albums. He saw a picture of himself with missing 'Stripes' and after all this time got upset and asked where he was again... Two years and he still hasn't forgotten. So, for the first time in ages, I searched again and found a sale that had ended 8 weeks ago on eBay for the monkey I've been searching for. I emailed the seller but she passed him on over the summer and so now I am once again back to square one. I am gutted. Not just that we lost it but that we missed an opportunity to replace it.
Please if anyone is still reading could you take a look at the picture on this link (it's from one of my original 'missing monkey' posts) and let me know if you have any ideas how I could track a replacement down. I really would be so hugely grateful. He may be just a stripey monkey but he meant so much and I am at a total, utter loss at what to do to ever find him again.

Oh, and I would have attached my original Mumsnet rather than Netmums message but I couldn't work out how to add a picture when I posted so it didn't have one. Two years on and I still can't work out how to attach a picture on here. Some things (like my missing monkey) sadly never change.
