I'm considering setting up another blog, with a more wide ranging remit, hopefully including posts from other people. My current blog is pretty focused on politics and mental health (with the odd foray into feminism) and I keep thinking of stuff that would make good blog posts but would seem odd on there. I'm also wanting to do more writing for other places (and hopefully start making a small income through that) and I think it would help to show that I can write about more. I also think that it would be good to work with other people and make a more entertaining blog - kind of like an online magazine. It would also be better for networking with other blogs, as I always feel a bit odd linking to "off topic" blogs.
I worry though that I would just end up writing the same amount (which, tbh, is not a lot) but splitting it between two places. There is the odd thing I could put on both (like Princess Poppy and the Patriarchy, which, along with the earlier version of it that was basically just pictures, is by far my most viewed post) but a lot of it would be just for one or the other. I'm hoping that I would have more to write about on the new one - my current one is where I try to only blog when I actually have something on topic to say, and I tend to research quite a bit before posting.
I'm also thinking I would use what I have learned with this one - ie I think wordpress might be better than blogger, and I wouldn't use my name in the URL.
Anyhow, does anyone run more than one blog, and does it work?
