Have you ever deleted anything from your blog?

Or would you? Perhaps something that you wrote which no longer fits in with the image that you want for your blog, or something that you posted and then later regretted?

I haven't, and I don't want to, but sometimes when you write a blog post it's easy to forget that you are opening it up to many people, and it's easy to post something without thinking about how other people may read it. Or else you find that your blog is heading in a certain direction, and some posts no longer seem relevant. I don't have many readers, and sometimes I forget that I'm not just writing to myself.

Would love to hear what others think.

Yes, I have deleted two or three posts that I have thought have given too much identifiable information about me. I now post and re-read a day later to check that I am still happy with the post.

Yes, I deleted a post where I reviewed an item. A couple of newspapers then reviewed the same item and suddenly my post was getting hundreds of hits a day. I had photos of myself on the blog post and photos of the DC on the blog and I was worried that I would be identified in RL.

Not that it really bothers me, many people know that I blog and I don't write anything too revealing, but it seemed a bit too close to home.

Yes, I once did. I can't remember what it was but it was a magnet for SPAM. Like hundreds of SPAM comments a day for awhile! That one I deleted!

Other than that, nope. Who and what I am is on my blog. What you see is what you get. Grin
