Contemplating them for DD Christmas, she's 4... will I regret it or will she love it?

She'll probably love it, but at that stage, I would remove all the tiniest bits before she gets her hands on them - Sylvanian food etc - because they will end up lost/down the back of the sofa/in the hoover.

See will love it. My to DDs play with them above all other toys. Our spare room is covered with them, we call it sylvania.

I got them for DD last Christmas when she was 4.They get played with nearly every day also above all other toys. Invest in some cheap plastic tubs for the little bits. I doubt DD has lost a single bit except for the high chair which my clumsy sister tramped on.

Definitely, she will love them, they're a classic toy and it's a perfect hobby for her to add to with the more delicate pieces over the coming years. Also brilliant for encouraging imaginative games and independent play. I LOVED my Sylvanians - the owl family were my faves!
