Inviting poeple on Facebook

I want to set up a page for my business. the idea is that I would be able to post information about what I am doing and more general stuff.

For that I need to build but a base of 'friends' or more a base of people who will have 'like' my page.

So is that OK for me to invite people who friends of the first people who 'like' me already?
