Dp's car suffered some minor damage in a car park this morning. Driver of other car drove off. A witness saw and left a note on car. Have rung insurance and they are taking it forward.
Just wondering whether you would report to police.

Yes, I would because you may need an accident number for insurance purposes? Besides, the culprit damaged your car and just drove off. Coward has cost you money.

I don't think the police will do anything if no-one was injured. I had a recent bump - someone pulled out of a parking space, going the wrong way down the road just as I was pulling out of a side road and we bumped. They didn't want to call the police but I rang when I got home for my own peace of mind. The police said as long as no-one was hurt, they didn't need to be informed.
