Chewing gum

Hi not sure I I'm in the right thread but some selfish bunt left chewing gum on the train seat and unfortunately dd1 sat on it. She was wearing a jumper made if acrylic and polyester. So my question is what do you do to get it off. I read some where about putting clothes in freezer and leave for a day and then it will come off. Any ideas welcomed.

The freezer thing does work but it's easier and quicker to to just use an ice cube (if the 'splodge' isn't too big!).

Rub ice cube over gum and gently use a butter knife or similar to ease it off. If gum starts 'stretching' too much keep applying ice cube.
