First Birthday Party after separation

So it's one of thoses post break up mile stones. DD has her 6th birthday soon and will be having the usual gathering of friends. My dilema is that although her Dad and I can be civil I really can't face the usual kind of party we have, as in book a hall, do some games, watch a show and have a birthday tea as it involves just too much communication with him. So, I am in real need of suggestions for parties where we can go somewhere that will just do it all and I'm completely uninspired - anyone fancy being a muse?

How about a bowling party? You could take one lane and he the other.

what about having two treats, you do the hall games etc and dad comes towards end for candle blowing and cake, quick cuppa to show you can be civil to one another. Then dad takers dd and a few friends to show and for tea whilst you tidy up and recover. Divide and conquer.
