Is her name pronounced LIE-la or LEE-la? I have no idea as have never met anyone with the name in real life and can only think of the character who was Jessica Wakefield's best friend in the Sweet Valley High novels Grin and obviously never heard that said out loud. Just wondered.

Think it is lie la. Little girl at dd Pre school pronounces it like that and I think oasis did a song where it was pronounced that way too

Argh, Lila Fowler (unlocking of repressed memories) Seriously, check out the stuff about SVH on a blog called the Dairi Burger. Very funny...

GenevieveHawkings · 11/09/2011 21:30

Apparently the Oasis song was inspire by said child.

GenevieveHawkings · 11/09/2011 21:30

*inspired

I always pronounced Lila Fowler as "lee-la" in my head, but have since met girls who say it as "Lie-la".

Pinot · 23/09/2011 14:55

It's Lie-la.

meditrina · 26/09/2011 06:58

The Asian chocolate bar "Lila Pause" was lie-la.

emkana · 26/09/2011 07:05

Asian chocolate bar? That's made me laugh! Lila Pause means purple break in german, it's a german chocolate bar. Sorry I know it is not important, just noticed because I am german.

meditrina · 26/09/2011 07:08

It did have a purple wrapper. With a cow on it.

BikingViking · 26/09/2011 07:34

Mmm lila pause... and the milka bar with the chocolate creme filling....

What was the question again?! Grin

I would say Lie-la too
