if suddenly you couldn't get CBeebies (no seriously, I need help)

Bleedin Freeview has suddenly lost about half its channels, including BBC1, BBC2 and [gulp] CBeebies.

I don't know why, but it may be because earlier it asked me to accept new channels and I clicked 'ok'. I now have GayRabbit where I used to have BBC1...

Does anyone know what I've done here, and what I can do to put it right?

This thread was an emotional rollercoaster.

yes, I feel as though I can finally going to bed knowing the OP, and more importantly her children, are OK

People can slag off MN all they like, but I know you're a great bunch of women who can't go too far out of your way to help a mother in crisis [pauses - wipes eyes - wipes down gin glass - chokes and hiccups]

Phew! We are having a major disaster in our house as the have taken Waybuloo off the 6pm slot and it is a crucial part of the wee one's bedtime.

We don't have Skyplus so have had to order DVDs off Amazon.

The things we do.......

if it happens again you can watch it live on the cbeebies website.

GwendolineMaryLacey · 05/06/2011 22:23

Well done. Cbeebies was playing up this morning so we had 90 mins of milkshake instead. It was hell.

I only know this because the other day I found ds1 and ds2 watching it in slightly out of sync headache-inducing stereo on the TV and my laptop (which was supposed to be being used for homework). Which reminds me, I must think about getting netnanny or something ...

I've only been getting CBeebies for a year - before that we lived in a Freeview no-go zone, so dd1 only ever had her collection of DVDs. We, the adults, had four terrestrial channels.

One year on, dd2 (20 months) has special dances for all the different CBeebies songs, and dd1 has about a thousand 'favourite programmes' that she just HAS to watch.

dp and I have about a trillion new channels (including GayRabbit) and still, nothing on we want to watch.

Freeview is shit isn't it? I think we are going to have to bite the bullet and get Sky back (cant get Virgin unfortunately)
