Just in case that previous, very lovely, vid didn't do the job, I'm sending in the crash team with and Grin!

DumSpiroSpero · 15/06/2011 12:46

It's worked so well for me I can't spell - back to work now anyway - enjoy!

PasstheTwiglets · 15/06/2011 12:57

I know Small, I was just making a silly joke :)

PasstheTwiglets · 15/06/2011 12:59

Ooooh, how interesting though!! I just looked at your link and saw that the word derives from Mary Magdalen! I had no idea the two words were connected, other than their prounciation. So that is obviously why Magdalene college is pronounced the way it is - that's fascinating!

TheSmallPrint · 15/06/2011 13:57

I don't get it Twigs Confused

Just off to a meeting so will open Spiro's treasures when I return.

PasstheTwiglets · 15/06/2011 14:08

No, you're not thick - the joke just wasn't funny :) I was doing a sort of reverse thing - people often mispronounce Magdalen as 'mag-da-len' and get corrected 'no, it's mawd-lin'. So I was doing the opposite and pretending that I was correcting your 'maudlin' to 'mag-da-len'. See - I said it wasn't funny... :)

PasstheTwiglets · 15/06/2011 14:15

For the non-Twitterers amongst us, this is what the guy from the photoshoot yesterday said:

Richard Armitage fans: sorry just seen all your tweets. The whole shoot was filmed so I will post a link when it's uploaded. Also I will let you know details of when it's published. I will say he's Soooooooo nice in person.

I'm assuming that he means the photos will be online, but it would be lovely to see a film of the photoshoot :)

SupermassiveLBD · 15/06/2011 15:49

Oooh, golly Twiggers, how SOOPER! re the photoshoot.

Busy day for me -- hope I will be back later but meanwhile I just wanted to leave you all a little pressie

Nothing new, but always fun.

Well hey there, Mr Courier Man - have you come to show us your package?

:)

TheSmallPrint · 15/06/2011 16:29

Thanks for the explanation Twigs Grin now I get it!! and thanks for the twitter update although hearing how nice he is does me know good. I'm in my 'need to think bad things about him so that I can concentrate on work' mode so something like the RPJ article would have helped more IYKWIM.

I'm not really complaining though, I will immediately be looking at the photoshoot as soon as someone tells me where it is!

And a glove shot too

TheSmallPrint · 15/06/2011 16:30

Know?? No!

PasstheTwiglets · 15/06/2011 16:35

Oh I very often think bad things about him... :)

PasstheTwiglets · 15/06/2011 16:40

In fact, since my crude joke about the courier man - and since I had a real actual courier man arrive today and am expecting another one tomorrow - I am developing a nice little fantasy which you are all welcome to borrow. Just bring it back in the same condition you would expect to find it.

Why Mr North, this parcel is far too heavy for me to carry, could you bring it into the house for me, please?

PasstheTwiglets · 15/06/2011 16:41

Yes, those stairs are tricky, aren't they? But I'm sure you can manage... third door on the left...

PasstheTwiglets · 15/06/2011 16:44

Ignore the muffled cries from the cupboard - Sgt. Porter is a little feisty today...

TheSmallPrint · 15/06/2011 16:45

Oh I very often think bad things about him

Not those sort of bad thoughts Twigs.

TheSmallPrint · 15/06/2011 16:45

Sorry, should have put a Grin in there. See, my mind is all over the shop now!

DumSpiroSpero · 15/06/2011 16:48

ROFL at Twigs Grin

Small, I know what you mean about thinking negative things (bad things obviously not quite the same Wink

I am up to my elbows in cake mix - school fair on Saturday (yawn). I have also managed to make a steak pie with dessert pastry since getting in - and I wasn't even mumsnetting at the time Blush. Fish & chips for us tonight then.

TheSmallPrint · 15/06/2011 16:54
TheSmallPrint · 15/06/2011 16:55

although it might be quicker to go up the road to the chippy Grin

DumSpiroSpero · 15/06/2011 16:56

Seriously, Small - frozen fish & oven chips?! Shock

TheSmallPrint · 15/06/2011 16:56
SupermassiveLBD · 15/06/2011 16:58

In case anybody's running short on these Grin Grin Grin

@Twigs's courier fanficlet
@Small's desperate attempts to concentrate on RL, and
@Spiro's sweet steak pie. In the States, apparently, everything tastes very sweet, even the bread, so you would have been all right if you were on the other side of the pond.

Oh and Sad @ the Man, being nice. How very dare he?

Our neighbours are currently having the World's Ugliest Loft Conversion (Official).* To make things even more delightful for us hapless bystanders, the builders have their radio set to Nuclear Warning Volume. . Having seen today's obscene saucy comments, it seems all the more appropriate.

  • They should have called in Small as artichoke and design consultant.
DumSpiroSpero · 15/06/2011 17:29

Re your neighbours Maud - you should see what my out-laws neighbours are doing to their place - I honestly don't know why they didn't just buy a completely different house.

Did like that link Smile
