..if your kitten ate your dd's tomato plant from school?

Dd brought home her tomato plant (just a sapling) from school to look after over the school holidays. She was so proud of it, it was the biggest in the class etc etc. However I put it on the kitchen windowsill, not really thinking, and when she came in from school today it was nearly gone. :(

So should i go to b'n'q and buy her another one, as it was my fault, or tell her to "suck it up" (not those words though) or something else I haven't thought of?

You have discovered a new pest of the tomato.
Buy the girl another three and see which one survives the hazards of your home.

I wouldn't buy tomato plants - just apologise and move on ...

You'd deny her the chance to do some interesting science and grow yummy tomatoes and create a kitten-deterrent? That's a shame.

I would go and buy another one .

There will be more to the task than just seeing whose is the biggest and she will be left out .

Tomato leaves are poisonous so I'd be keeping a very close eye on the kitten!

Get another one from an independent garden centre but keep it well away from curious small creatures

I'd buy her another one.
a bigger one
