dsis told me yersterday that when she was getting her hair done hairdresser noticed headlice. The only children she has had contact with are my dc and they have recently had them. I was about to explain about wet combing and would have purchased a comb for her. However, she admitted she had already paid £11.00 for a treatment. I am assuming Hedrin which i can get free on prescription. In fact i had some left over and could have given it to her if she had told me. We do not have much money to spare at mo but i know she is is worse off than me. So should I pay?

Nah just leave it. Headlice are one of those things and as long as you sort out your own children as soon as you know then it's fine

No, because your sister could have caught them anywhere, not necessarily children. It would be kind of you to do so, but I don't think that you are morally obliged to pay for her treatment.
