Hi everyone,
The Chase Contest on Facebook starts today, and you can vote every day for 10 charities. Of course, I'm hoping we'll all just cast a vote every morning for the WPI... I have ME, and these people are working so hard for us to find the cure not only for me, but also all the other Neuro-Immune disease.
The Whittemore Peterson Institute for Neuro- Immune Disease exists to bring discovery, knowledge, and effective treatments to patients with illnesses that are caused by acquired dysregulation of both the immune system and the nervous system, often resulting in life long disease and disability. WPI is working to bring ground-breaking translational research into neuro-immune diseases such as M.E.,CFS, Autism, GWS, Chronic Lyme, Fibromyalgia and more.
There are millions of us world-wide who will benefit from the work the WPI is doing, and yet it is up to us to provide the funds to keep them going. Because they showed some establishment figures to be wrong about ME, they've had the establishment gunning for them, there's been a lot of bad press about XMRV being contamination (it isn't, and no study has ever proved it was in the WPI or the National Institute of Health Labs.
Go to this page www.facebook.com/ChaseCommunityGiving and 'like' it. Then either put Whittemore Peterson in the search box, or use this link chasecommunitygiving.contextoptional.com/charities/205904991-whittemore-peterson-institute-fo to get to the voting page.
Warning if you are on a Mac, Safari doesn't like facebook apps at all, and in Firefox I had to change my security settings (Firefox-preferences-privacy-accept third party cookies). Since I usually surf in Safari, and just use Firefox for Chase and Causes, I'm not worried about the settings, but if you use Firefox all the time, don't forget to uncheck that box accepting third party cookies before you go on to commercial sites.

Chase Community Giving
"JPMorgan Chase has given more than $100 million to nonprofit organizations every year for the past five years, focusing on community development, education, and arts and culture. The bank strives to be a catalyst to meaningful, positive, and sustainable change within high-need neighborhoods and communities across the globe. It also supports employee efforts through matching gift and volunteer programs. Earlier this year, Chase provided over 500,000 local organizations with a national platform to promote their missions, attract new supporters, and gain visibility with more than 2 million Chase Community Giving fans.
At the end of the program, we gave away $5 million to charities all over the country, including a grand prize donation of $1 million to Invisible Children to help children in Uganda. Now, with your help, we?re ready to do it again"
