Ok Rule it is! Can't stop now but will be back later.

Have a good day everyone!

Scrumptastic photo, Maud!
I imagine cheese longoos as rather like langues de chat biscuits, only savoury.

ComeIntoTheEasterGardenMaud · 17/04/2011 23:23

Oh it is, isn't it? Chiselled profile, twiglets, slightly tousled hair that I might push back from his furrowed brow and general sex on a stickness manly virtue.

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 17/04/2011 23:27

I have to admit to being rather stirred by that moody pic of Gizzy that you so kindly posted earlier to help me get my breath back but had the reverse effect

ComeIntoTheEasterGardenMaud · 17/04/2011 23:33

I thought that you, as a connoisseur of all things Gisborne, would appreciate it. I, on the other hand, am shaken, not stirred.

::quivers::

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 17/04/2011 23:39

Oh that twiglet is so nibble-able. Yum! I wonder why you don't notice them so much with Guy. Maybe cos his hair is longer and obscures the twigletty goodness.

ComeIntoTheEasterGardenMaud · 17/04/2011 23:46

A brief lecture from the Department of Food Technology (Snack Studies)

The history of the twiglet is not well-documented, although contemporaneous documents suggest that it was first made in Nottamun, possibly in the Middle Ages.

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 17/04/2011 23:47

And let that be my last pronouncement of the day. I must head off to the land of Nod. Wishing everybody a sweet night

ComeIntoTheEasterGardenMaud · 17/04/2011 23:50

And to you, too. Sweet Nottamun dreams.

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 17/04/2011 23:51

I suppose if you look under the microscope. you can decry a certain well-loved savoury treat...
Now course I shan't be able to go to sleep at all Wink

ComeIntoTheEasterGardenMaud · 17/04/2011 23:54

To sleep, perchance to dream?

TheEasterBunnysSmallFootPrint · 18/04/2011 07:56

Good morning Twiglet nibblers!

Some delightful photos last night although not sure whether the evidence for twiglets in the middle ages is strong enough to be conclusive. More research required I think.

Changing subjects, I watched Brad Pitt last night and it suddenly struck me how much he resembles a young Robert Redford. I think it is the jawline.

PassTheChocolateTwiglets · 18/04/2011 09:12

Morning, Small (and anyone else who's around). I agree about the Middle-Ages Twiglets - for me, the Twiglets is the very top part, the pointy bit. Though why do they only look pointy from side-on and not from face-on? 'Tis most odd. I shall provide evidence of this later, as am currently supposed to be getting ready to go to the zoo. And then dentist later, boo hiss.

Spiro, if you are reading then I hope you feel lots better and that you have a fabulous time! Stay in touch.

Re. my RH2 episode that I mentioned yesterday, it was so sad. Do you remember the one with Winchester, where he asks for Marian as part of the deal? Guy tried to help her escape and it was so lovely to see the good in him* but then he spoiled it all by taking her to Winchester after all :(

Right, adieu!
x

  • there was a lovely moment where Guy said to Marian "humanity is weakness" and she said "you don't believe that" and his eyes sort of flickered guiltily, proving that Marian was right. Oh it was lovely.
DumSpiroSpero · 18/04/2011 09:58

Hi Twigs - I am reading - from my parents spare room. H and DD have gone off to Butlins, but I have still got bug and we're having work done on the house so couldn't stay at home.

Gutted.

ComeIntoTheEasterGardenMaud · 18/04/2011 10:13

Oh dear, Spiro. How awful. I hope your mum and dad will spoil you (as much as they can while you're living on Rich Tea biscuits). Any chance you could join H and MissSpiro later? What are you having done to the house?

I agree that the evidence for Middle Age twiglets is ::consults notes from the Department of Food Technology (Snack Studies)::, ahem, contested and ambiguous. Neither twiglets nor the Middle Ages are my ::cough:: specialist area, but I had thought that the essence of twiglets are the ::ahem:: contours, which, I submit, are shown to some advantage is this important academic resource.

::Reclines on chaise longoo and awaits slide slow from more learned colleagues::

ComeIntoTheEasterGardenMaud · 18/04/2011 12:05

::Leaves tempting lunchtime buffet on the sideboard and goes out to the victuallers::

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 18/04/2011 12:28

Temptation, thy name is twiglets! I should be doing Other Things but now I am drowning in the contemplation of the naughty knight's auricular contours.

Naughty Maud, too, posting the breathless-making photo again and then swanning off to replenish her venison and pasternake stocks, so she won't have to listen to my plaints.

Spiro, poor you, left behind while the rest of the family bog off to Bognor Sad Are you well enough to appreciate the 'me' time just a wee bit?

DumSpiroSpero · 18/04/2011 12:41

I normally welcome any opportunity for 'me time' Massive, but DD enjoys Butlins so much I'd really rather be there with her.

As soon as I'm well I will get over there and join them - at least it's close enough to do that.

We're having building & plumbing work done Maud so staying put was a complete non- starter.

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 18/04/2011 12:42

Btw, after Twiggy's masterful analysis of the Winchester episode, I am even more sorely tempted to get RH2. Those little flickers you see in Guy's face quite steal your heart, don't they?

Brilliant acting, on the RL level. However does he manage it?

Hmm, yes, for me too twiglets are the pointy bit. And strange, the seeming change of shape depending on angle of observation. I have visions of an analysing scan coming up on a computer screen, with little measurement lines drawing themself round it, like they have on the face recognition program sequences in CSI Whatever .

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 18/04/2011 13:47

Spiro, I thought I'd cheer you up by sending round someone to help out with your building and plumbing work.

ComeIntoTheEasterGardenMaud · 18/04/2011 17:39

::Staggers in with an armful of brown paper packages tied up with string::

Oh, do get RH2 Massive. It is (to coin a phrase) such fun.

Spiro - hang on in there. The doctor's on his way.

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 18/04/2011 17:52

No raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens, bright copper kettles or warm woolen mittens, Maudikins?

I was in two minds about ordering RH2 when it was free on telly, but it's over now, and besides, TV viewing times aren't always convenient, are they? and the thought of having Gizzy's gorgeous-est incarnation awaiting my pleasure whenever I wish is moderately entertaining

ComeIntoTheGardenMaud · 18/04/2011 20:29

No, Massive, no kitten whiskers. But there were some puppy dog eyes.

Polish cordial, anyone?

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 18/04/2011 20:59

Am I too late for a beaker of mead, I mean Polish Cordial?

How's the supermassive telly doing?

TheEasterBunnysSmallFootPrint · 18/04/2011 21:42

evening ladies , I have had a delightfully restful day being pampered at a posh spa. I am super soft now.

SupermassiveEasterBonnet · 18/04/2011 21:48

Oh, how lovely, Small, you need a nice cheese longoo to recline on, now, to entertain your gentleman caller
