Good luck Holly Smile

FYI bea, at 32 and after 2 kids and being a sahm I have wondered if I missed my vocation in life Wink

I wish I had trained to become a MW or a doula.Smile.

Not a bad job imo, how lovely to be able to help so many women welcome their babies into the world.
Yes, im sure it has its downsides (like all jobs) BUT new life, its amazing isn't it..?

Still plenty of time to go for it then although I've heard it is difficult to get into.

52Girls · 13/04/2011 14:06

So excited I could crush a grape.

In fact, I may just jump off a dollshouse.

Shhhh · 13/04/2011 14:12

Yeah, see I think I have missed the boat bea, Im would like baby3 so that takes me another 3/4 years further on and I really am not a person who wants to or likes to study... Guess, if I came back in another life Grin.

stress, nothing in the papers/online atm but then im not on facbook/twitter so there may be updates via them..?

I think if anything I would prefer to be a doula, midwifes are under a lot of stress but doula's get to build up a rapport with the parents and get to see a scrummy baby for a few weeks after the birth too.

I'm 32 with 6 dc and I'm going to do loads of interesting stuff Grin.

Shhhh · 13/04/2011 14:30

Think doula option is more achievable for me iykiwm..

6 kids ! and you don't get excited about births HmmWink

I'm excited too! I really like Holly, she seemsnlike a lovely person. Any more news?

isthismadness · 13/04/2011 15:12

Isn't it baby no 2? If so its a v long labour.

Shhhh · 13/04/2011 15:38

I thought the 2nd was meant to be quicker.... not the case with my 2nd but I thought I went against the grain !

OP posts:
Thingumy · 13/04/2011 15:49

I had a 26 hour 2nd labour after a 9 hour labour with my 1st.

It does happen, bet she feels knackered (not that I care much)

stylenotfashion · 13/04/2011 15:51

damn you OP, now I want to know.

My mum always said I was easily led Hmm Grin

NorkilyChallenged · 13/04/2011 15:55

Oh, I didn't know this but thought she was due the same time as me (am 35 weeks) so am feeling jealous if she's nearly there as I'm getting impatient....

Adair · 13/04/2011 15:59

(Me too with three long labours - two days 'prelabour' -bloody hurt though- then the actual labour (19hrs, 7hrs, 9hrs))

I hope all is well. I think texting/facebooking all and sundry is odd and possibly ill-advised during labour let alone the general public. Exciting though (and still wants to hear all - contradiction there!!)

Shhhh · 13/04/2011 19:11

i think the same adair...

lol snf Grin
Norkily, see I thought she was due may, so she could be only weeks early but it may be around a month early.. nothing seems to be mentioned about this.. as in "ohh" she has gone in to early labour iykiwm...

Has she had the baby yet? long labour for a second child?

Bunbaker · 13/04/2011 19:14

Who?

stylenotfashion · 13/04/2011 19:47

Ahh bun don't faux pretend you don't know of the blonde goddess that is Holly Willoughby, she of the golden hair and plump bosom.

Anyway, no baby news yet according to Pip on twitter.

No news if she's pushed out a little bit of poo yet either Grin

ValiumBandwitch · 13/04/2011 20:40

yeah, I don't watch that morning programme but I still know who she is. She's in the littlewoods catalogue right?! Grin

UrsulaBuffay · 13/04/2011 21:15

I am desperate to know about the poo Grin

Bunbaker · 14/04/2011 09:24

"Ahh bun don't faux pretend you don't know of the blonde goddess that is Holly Willoughby, she of the golden hair and plump bosom."

Ah, I've been caught out. I have actually heard of her, but what is she famous for, other than her assets?

stylenotfashion · 14/04/2011 09:28

You got it in one, Bun....!!!
