Hee hee, that was the Man's second punch at the altar, wasn't it?

Brilliantly done, all through. I must get the VoD vid sometime, it is stuffed with Feel-good Factor.

Thanks, Small Stuff!

TheSmallPrint · 12/04/2011 15:01
....
DumSpiroSpero · 12/04/2011 15:02

That bit from VoD is sheer genius. I watched both episodes one after the other on Sunday. There's also a bit where Jim Trott starts singing Sexy Back which made me ROFL!

That sequence of Gizzy shots just made me think how much I'd like to get him in the shower for a good shampoo and sponge down before blow drying those flowing locks.

BTW I discovered last night that Cold Feet 1-5 is all on TV on demand with Virgin at the mo!

SupermassiveLBD · 12/04/2011 15:29

Slight pause here chez Massive to deal with RL.
YT relented and let me see Poker Face at least. Thanks for my treat, Small.
I have to say I do like Gizzy all sleek and tidy, but scruffy works quite well for me too.

SupermassiveLBD · 12/04/2011 15:30

Forgot to say ha ha at Benny!

DumSpiroSpero · 12/04/2011 15:51

I normally prefer Gizzy shorthaired & tidy too, but that would just too good an opportunity to pass up!

SupermassiveLBD · 12/04/2011 15:59

Grin @ Spiro. Why do you think I wrote the Tansy saga? Wink

PassTheTwiglets · 12/04/2011 16:12

Small, what did you think of Sylvester? I loved the book as a whole and really liked him. I am currently on the last disc of The Convenient Marriage - am loving his voice for the drunk brother :)

I wonder if that N&S kiss was choreographed, as it were? It is just so perfect.

Tulips indeed! Badoom-tish :)

DumSpiroSpero · 12/04/2011 16:29

I finished Sylvester last night and stared TCM this morning whilst having a sort out in dd's room. She came in, listened for about 10 seconds and said "You're listening to Richard Armitage, aren't you Mummy?" Grin

I think I prefer Damerel to Sylvester, but although I'm only 5 chapters in I think I may well end up preferring the Earl of Rule to either.

TheSmallPrint · 12/04/2011 16:30

It took me a long while to get into Twigs, I just was not taken with it but I couldn't sleep the other night so put it on again and perservered. I really enjoyed it by the end and I don't think it was because of RA reading it. I would like to hear Venetia though and a Convenient Marriage.

Did I miss a tulip joke? Confused

I have just found out that 'Dibley' is not far from me at all!

TheSmallPrint · 12/04/2011 16:32

oh I see !!!

PassTheTwiglets · 12/04/2011 18:40

Oh yes Small, you MUST listen to Venetia!!! Spiro, Rule is quite nice (his voice is divine, as you would expect) but Damerel is definitely my favourite, with Sylvester close behind*. It's definitely been more than just Our Man that's made me love the Heyer books (though he has been responsible for probably 70% of it!)

  • mmmm, Damerel with Sylvester behind... :o
OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 12/04/2011 18:42

Small, wouldn't that be great for Maudie if it had? A stonking great telly on which to gaze at floppy white shirts, or even sweat-stained Australian undershirts.

Or she may have gone on a spontaneous booze cruise again, to replenish her Polish Cordial and Chateau Gizzy stocks...

PassTheTwiglets · 12/04/2011 18:42

Sorry, was channelling Spiro for a moment there..... Wink

OP posts:
SupermassiveLBD · 12/04/2011 18:43

Hmm, Sylvester's behind, eh? Wink

PassTheTwiglets · 12/04/2011 18:44

LOL, Massive!

Me too!

SupermassiveLBD · 12/04/2011 18:56

My audio favourite is Lovelace, I am ashamed to admit, which is not strictly an audiobook, and Uhtred second. I love how he pronounces all the old Saxon names.

I sort of fancy getting one of the RH ones, if they are any good, that is. It'd be nice to drop off with Gizzy purring in my ear.

DumSpiroSpero · 12/04/2011 19:02

What do you mean 'channelling Spiro"? I have been a picture of innocence recently cos I'm too full of cold to be full of suggestive remarks

TheSmallPrint · 12/04/2011 19:31

Spiro you appear to be getting a reputation, I have no idea why? Wink

trying to get another sneaky episode of Spooks in before Mr Small arrives.

TheSmallPrint · 12/04/2011 19:33

Twigs if I order that it goes on Mr Smalls accountand my library don't seem to stock anything but Sylvester. I will need to go to an Actual Shop to get it I think.

DumSpiroSpero · 12/04/2011 20:17

I'm as mystified as you are Small Wink!

TheSmallPrint · 12/04/2011 20:34

Ooh ooh it's the Russian episode

SupermassiveLBD · 12/04/2011 20:51

Or fone friendly
