I have some items I have advertised on freecycle. After posting I noticed that somweone was in need of one of the items so I sent a message. Since than I have had a response requesting item from another person. WWYD

If it was me, I'd send another message to the person who posted the WANTED asking them to hurry up and decide because somebody else was interested. I'd give that person first refusal (within a reasonable timeframe). The person who contacted you won't know if they are the first or the twentieth to get in touch unless you tell them.

It's totally up to you, Freecycle doesn't mind who you give the items to. Personally I'd contact the person who posted the WANTED. This is because sadly there are a lot of timewasters on Freecycle who respond to any and every offer, so they can sell the stuff on eBay or just not turn up to collect it. Someone who posted a WANTED must actually want those specific items.
