Oh my god really?! :(

thumbwitch · 23/03/2011 13:15

oh wow, that is actually sad. She was a bit of a national institution imo.
RIP Liz - I thought National Velvet was brilliant too. And I really liked the Agatha Christie film she did - whatever it was called Blush

Has she?
The Italians are going to have to do some smart shuftying on their telly scheduling. She was mentioned only last night as being the first special guest on some chat show thing.

ZZZenAgain · 23/03/2011 13:15

didn't know that. Wasn't she lovely as a young girl? Well obviously not just then but particularly so before she grew up I thought. Jsut stunning

The Mirror crack'd?
Where she was an actress?
It was a good one, that.
Poor old Liz.

JemimaMop · 23/03/2011 13:17

Was just watching Cat on a Hot Tin Roof yesterday. Very sad Sad

djinnie · 23/03/2011 13:22

Shame. She was beautiful. But she had been ill for a while.

TheCrackFox · 23/03/2011 13:25

Oh, what a shame I liked her.

nigglewiggle · 23/03/2011 13:27

Very sad, but rather telling that the news broke during the 1 o'clock news, and they miraculously produced a tribute within about 2 mins!

maryjane71 · 23/03/2011 22:23

She was so ill for so long though, so I wasn't so surprised when I heard. I didn't particularly rate her as an actress, but she was wonderful in Little Women.

Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf. Great film, top performance. RIP Liz!
