hi we have recently moved to paris and enroled our daughter into a french school. she seems to be getting on great and came home with a party invitation the other day. it says its fancy dress and i was wondering if any of you had any idea as to what to send her in ? i dont speak french so its tricky to talk to the other mums and their kids costumes.

Post this in the living overseas area. I don't think there is much footfall here.
I don't suppose an onion seller or Edith Piaf would go down terribly well there Smile

How old is she?

I would presume children's fancy dress is pretty much a universal thing, and the rest of them will be wearing something grabbed from the Disney Store. On the way to the party if they are as organised as me.

she actually has a cheerleader in her head, but i'm not sure how appropriate that would be here, we all know the french and their sense of humour ! i think something around the disney idea is good, maybe she could go in alice in wonderland fancy dress ?! but how can i explain that to an 8 year old ?!
