Re teacher on mobile whilst driving

Really not sure what to do here. Was driving home early today and saw my DD's school mini bus coming up the road, looked in to see if she was in there (she wasn't) and saw the teacher who was driving it was talking on her mobile phone!

I'm angry as not only is this illegal, but she put the minibus full of children at risk.

I'm not sure what to do now, I feel like I HAVE to say something but would you speak to her directly or go straight to the head?

Part of me thinks just speak to her and let her know that should I see it again I will report to the head but part of me also thinks I should go to the head and let him deal with it.

WWYD?

I don't know, bumping for wiser people

She was driving the minibus full of the children? and she was on her mobile phone?

Under those circumstances I would actually report it directly to the head.

I certainly wouldn't bother going to her first. It's not like she is unaware that it is illegal. Nobody is unaware that it is illegal.

I'd contact the Head but would ask him not to reveal who split on her told him because you have to keep a good relationship with the teacher for the rest of the year.

You're dead right - and so is the advice to contact the head.

Agree with atswimtwolengths

I can understand why you don't want to go directly to the teacher, but if you go via the head and the head makes it official it is very likely you will be outed anyway. Just be prepared. How far are you prepared to take it if the teacher denies it?

Goblinchild · 19/02/2011 09:59

Report it.

straight to the head.

What age were the children? ANy chance that they would have noticed if the head asks them?
