Looks like there may be some truth in those rumours then

both been around the block a bit

jonicomelately · 28/12/2010 23:52

He has an eight year old daughter and she has a four year old son. As much as I would love to be holed up in a love shack with DC over Christmas I think I'd miss my children terribly.

I'm not judging (well perhaps a little) but my children are similar ages and I just can't imagine being so far away from them (voluntarily) at this time of year.

SpringHeeledJack · 29/12/2010 12:42

yes, it sounds terrible

I know what you're saying re the kids Joni but it may not be voluntary.

Tbh I feel a bit sorry for her getting pilloried in the press over it (assuming it's an access arrangement rather than just a jolly) I can't imagine any mother making that choice willingly, but if you had to I'm guessing that spending the festive season wrapped round the likes of Daniel Craig would be a pretty good way to take your mind off it!

ClaireDeLoon · 30/12/2010 19:52

The picturesque property boasts a cinema, gym, roof terrace and a sauna yet only costs £1,000 a week? In Dorset?

SirPercyBlakeney · 31/12/2010 22:28

My brother in law dated Rachel Weisz at uni...

LesAnimaux · 31/12/2010 22:41

Their babies will be stunning.

BitOfFun · 31/12/2010 22:45

Ooh, give us the gossip then! An MNer went to drama club with her when they were kids and said she was frightfully vain, and would swish about banging on about being compared to Brooke Shields.

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 01/01/2011 01:24

Did you know that this thread was mentioned by Julie Burchill in yesterday's Guardian?

asmallbunchofmistletoe · 01/01/2011 01:29

My apologies it was the Independent

BitOfFun · 01/01/2011 02:26

And she has drawn that conclusion from 11 posts? Jeez.

exexpat · 02/01/2011 01:40

So now we all know Julie Burchill keeps an eye on sleb twaddle on MN - presumably in case anyone mentions her. I'm sure no-one on MN could possibly know any interesting bits of gossip about her, could they? Wink I wonder what her user name is...

Northernlebkuchen · 02/01/2011 01:50

Is there another thread about this that we've missed? Seems a bit of a stretch even for Julie to draw so damning a conclusion from so few posts? (Hang on what am I saying? This is Julie Burchill after all....jumping to conclusions are a bit of a specialty aren't they?) >

sharbie · 02/01/2011 12:45

hi julie - love your work Smile

pawsnclaws · 02/01/2011 17:25

I'd rather be sharing a country cottage with JB than Daniel Craig or Rachel Weisz - love your work too, Julie.

sharbie · 02/01/2011 17:30

let's get her on for a webchat

pawsnclaws · 02/01/2011 17:32

Brilliant idea, she's one of the few people I ever bother reading - everyone else just recycles the same old crap.

sharbie · 02/01/2011 17:38

do you think she'd ever do it though??

jonicomelately · 02/01/2011 17:43

Tee hee.

sharbie · 02/01/2011 17:46
Grin
MarniesMummy · 02/01/2011 18:06

Just for the record Daniel Craig's daughter isn't 8, she's (almost if not) an adult.

More like 18!

pawsnclaws · 02/01/2011 18:15

I would suspect that JB probably Could Not Be Arsed and I wouldn't blame her either!

sharbie · 02/01/2011 18:18

you could be right

jonicomelately · 02/01/2011 18:18

Do you think JB assumes we're all married to dull men? I also imagine she thinks we're all southern and middle-class.

Personally, for me MN is pretty much like having a chat over a garden fence and gossip is pretty good for the soul.

expatinscotland · 02/01/2011 18:19

Wow, Rachel is still 40. I know someone who was younger than her at uni and now, she's older! Funny that.
