Hi,

With all this freezing weather, and just for winter in general, what do you do to keep your baby warm at night? My DD is 3 months old (my first born), and I'm running a convector heater all night in her room to keep it at 19-20 degrees whic s what she seems to sleep best in. Is this unreasonable? I really don't want her to wake up cold- how rubbish for her- but I don't want to waste eneragy and money unnecessarily! The advice on a vest, babygro and sleeping bag seems like not much at all to me...
What do other people do??

Make sure her cot isn't against an outside wall and if it is, move it if possible, even if it's into the room middle more.

If there's room, could you bring her crib into your room so you can hear her more easily? Use a fleece baby gro -as long as it doesn't make her too hot - for extra warmth.

I really don't understand the baby sleeping bag thing as much - I used fleece baby suits, and sheets and blankets and kept the heating on all night when it was really cold. It's often cheaper to have on all night than switching it off, letting the house lose temp, then putting it back on again.
