Why have Johnny Depp and Brad Pitt never been in a film together?

You think that they must have been offered a fortune to do a film together; two such big, bankable heart-throb type actors. Bit strange that they haven't..? Maybe they hate one another. Or have they actually made a film together and I just haven't realised [duh emoticon]

Its becuase JD would overshadow BP by miles in the heart throb stakes. :o

They have completely different styles, make very different choices.
I bet the real reason is they can't stand each other

Well, one's man meat is another's poison and all that, Tinselina, although I do agree with you .

I reckon there's some kind of feud between them.

Sorry to divert - but is it just me who wishes JD had been in the HP films? He does British English well enough, and Sirius was meant to be dark, impossibly handsome and reckless; and cousin to Bellatrix - can't you just see him duelling H B-C?

Yes HP would have been good with JD in it... in fact can you think of a film that wouldn't be improved with JD in it?

Probably a fued though, especially since Angie fancies the pants of JD..

Brad Pitt never understood the appeal ever at all (and if he gets to play John Marston in a Red Dead Redemption movie I will forever hate him).

Don't like Orlando Bloom and all.

I'd say Johnny Depp needs to be in a film with my fave Charlie Sheen again

Because Brad Pitt knows Johnny Depp would act him out of the water, because he's not only gorgeous but a fab actor, and Brad is just moderately good looking and not really that great an actor [actor]

I agree with whoever said JD would have made a good Sirius Black.

JD and BP together in a film? I'd be first in line to see it!

On a side note, I've never seen the fascination with Tom Cruise, he doesn't float my boat.

Sirius black = too small a part for JD anyway.

they're both hollywood greats - but a film would have to bank a huge amount to pay them both.

Both were in 21 jump street! Johnny Depp for 80 episodes, Brad Pitt in 1, in the same serious, I think. Hooray for INMD!

Surely they have very similar styles.
For years BP ignored playing the leading man in big budget roles and was very much a character actor in diverse roles to avoid being typecast as merely a heart-throb following on from Thelma and Louise.
Just look at Kalifornia,12 monkeys, se7en, Snatch, Fightclub etc.
He quite often took on supporting roles of more interesting characters rather than the lead role. It wasn't until the times of Oceans 11 (even in that he plays a supporting role) and Troy that he became a rather more muted leading man and even then I'd say (like Depp in his now stereotypical "kooky" role) the times when he has played a straight-forward leading man/heart-throb figure have been some of his worse performances (I'm thinking the Oceans movies/meet joe black/ the mexican/ mr&mrs Smith).
