It's karma biting his arse - according to that impeccable source, the DM, Chef Ramsay's business empire is crumbling!

Look at this

Adios Gordon Baby!

oh yay how happy that makes me to think another business is going under, another family falling apart and another great bunch of reporting from the DM. FFS

BooBooImpaledOnBrokenGlass · 03/11/2010 12:30

Do you really take pleasure in this? I can't stand the man but it doesn't make me want to dance for joy Hmm

VivaLeBeaver · 03/11/2010 12:33

If its true I feel sorry for him. I'm no fan of the bloke and I know he's a cheating shit but he has worked hard to be where he is. Can't understand how he can be close to losing it all, guess he's maybe tried to expand too quick?

I do wonder if the story has been leaked by his FIL though who has a big grudge and therefore may not be true.

I'm not a fan, but I any take pleasure from him potentially losing his family home and seeing his business fail. A business that I presume employs a lot of people and therefore supports their families as well.

WhyHavePets · 03/11/2010 12:35

Very odd how people get so tied up in celebrity, I always wondered about it!

Presumably you don't know this person and they don't affect your life at all so couldn't you just ignore them rather than get tied up in the rise and fall of...?

It just seems so nasty to be happy aobut something like this, it may be entertainment to others but it is someones actual life going on out there.

This is something I ahve thought about for a while, not particularly aimed just at you Op but at all poeple with this kind of thinking - like the "Ooh Britney is fat again, serves her right" type brigade.

Preggersplayspop · 03/11/2010 12:35

Can't take any pleasure, that should read

PennyDreadful · 03/11/2010 12:35

Why are you so pleased? Why are you even bothered??

You sound lovely....

SingingTunelessly · 03/11/2010 12:36

What a horrible thing to be happy about.

BerryLellow · 03/11/2010 12:37

Pride comes before a fall...

Does no one else see the irony of his image being built on "rescuing" failing catering businesses only for his to crumble due to over-extending himself and being a "t*er".

I don't like the idea of good entertainment being Gordon shouting and swearing at others.

I do feel sorry for his wife and children, and his employees who will be afraid of loosing their jobs.

OP posts:
PompeyDot · 03/11/2010 12:45

In fact I feel sorry for anyone who has to deal with him in real life

OP posts:
WhyHavePets · 03/11/2010 12:53

FGS pride before a fall? Seriously?

Totally over-invested. He is a bloke off the telly nothing more. Let it go!

wannaBe · 03/11/2010 12:55

do you know him? has he cheated on you? no didn't think so.

His wife has stuck by him so wtf is it to you what he does?

Biscuit
PompeyDot · 03/11/2010 12:57

No I'm not, I'm just not a fan of arrogant sweary people.

OP posts:
WhyHavePets · 03/11/2010 12:58

Neither am I - but I am also not a fan of dancing on graves - which this seems to be.

TheCrackFox · 03/11/2010 12:59

I feel sorry for his children, that house is their home.

wannaBe · 03/11/2010 13:46

well, self-righteous smuggery isn't exactly an endearing trate, either. Hmm

GenevieveHawkings · 05/11/2010 17:06

Why do people hate Gordon so much? Is it just because he swears a lot? It's just a persona for TV so get over it. I'm sure he's a very nice bloke in real life.

Oh and I don't get people who just put Biscuit on a thread they haven't previously contributed to.

If Biscuit was really all they thought they wouldn't even bother to put Biscuit IYSWIM.

I know what I mean anyway.

FunkySkunk · 08/11/2010 10:07

What a mean spirited OP. People will be out of a job because of this. Families will be affected. How horrible to gloat and crow about it. Jesus Angry

SparkleSoiree · 08/11/2010 10:09

If he does go daaan then I imagine a lot of people across the world in his business will lost their jobs.

Just before christmas.

Can't say that I share your sense of enthusiasm at his misfortune and others who will follow in the wake.

I read a few posts on another forum from someone with the same type of weird hatred towards GR. Sounds the same.

He's a chef on the telly. That's all. Nothing for a normal person to get worked up about.

sethstarkaddersmum · 08/11/2010 10:28

I don't agree, I think his tv persona is corrosive and nasty and normalises bullying. Feel sorry for anyone who is going to lose their job, and I hope his kids aren't going to be too disrupted (though frankly it's unlikely - can you really believe that someone that rich won't have money salted away somewhere - they're not going to be pulled out of school and living in a B&B, I wouldn't think.) but I can't bring myself to feel too sorry for Gordon himself....

purits · 08/11/2010 10:32

Why are we all feeling sorry for this foul-mouthed bully? Remember, this is the chap who did a photo-shop of a pig and that Australian reporter.
I could enjoy some schadenfreude at his expense.

GunpowderTreasonAndSNOTSleeves · 08/11/2010 10:33

I think he is an odious bully and his wife is a half-wit

but he has four children, doesn't he? They don't deserve this.
