Wait till I send you my script for aSpooks special in which they decide to give Lucas/John one final mission before they burn him, might as well.

Provisional title
Sex, Lies and Memory Sticks

or don't you read submissions from your slush pile?

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 02/11/2010 17:28

Look, Theresahole. Will you and LeQueen please stop ganging up on me? As screenwriter, director, costume designer, casting director and executive producer on My Bad Boy Byron these sorts of decisions are mine, all mine. As is the decision to cast an, ahem, slightly older actress (previously most renowned for her evanescent portrayal of Emil in the school performance of Emil and the Detectives) as his non-consanguineous love interest.

As for take me to the casbah, I reckon he'd been there quite a while by the time that picture was painted.

Theresaholeinyourmind · 02/11/2010 17:32

Okay, Flowers, promise I won't say another word

Don't pick on me! I only wanted reassurance that I had joined the academic and intellectual appreciation society that I thought I had done - wasn't me who likened us to the RA army, but someone on another thread[pout]

Remember I'm the innocent, naive one - who is far more into Mr Thornton than anyone else, but realises that I have to take my place behind all you more highly educated and informed ladies who were all here firstGrin

I'm in awe of all you screen writers amongst you - I might be able to conjure up a love potion with my useless science degree, but as to the works of Byron etc, I'm ready for my induction and further advancement!Confused

anyway, having a really low day today, so if any one has a link to a lovely youtube educator to cheer me up after I've got DC to bed, that would be very lovely.Smile

Check out the classical music a page or so back, Fettle. Kindly provided for us by our own Flowers. Lovely editing to synch with the beat there, truly a work of haute aesthetics.

That should cheer you up.

So obviously the answer is no on the slush pile thing..So what, I'll send it to the ITV

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 02/11/2010 17:54

Binkley - It may be that in your company Mr Armitage would experience a pain in the neck that required treatment, but I can assure you that he would not with me! Besides, I may not be a fully-trained masseuse, but I am remarkably good with my hands.

LeQueen - Your offer is most generous, but I am sure that you will be so busy with Guy In Da Hood that you will have no time to spare for My Bad Boy Byron.

So I will soldier on alone in all my various roles, capisce? Although there may later, once we start shooting, be some vacancies in the horse-poo shovelling department, if you're interested.

Now now ladies. Calm! I'm sure both scripts will be wonderful and perfect. But do think in the current economic climate of how you could share resource and therefore money. Failing that I will volunteer to chaperone mr armitage between your differing film sets to avoid any untoward diversions or kidnappings and ensure he's in the right place at the right time!

Whereas I an neither proud or a status seeker, ladies. I'd happily take up an opening in the horse-poo shoveling department, just for the merest chance of a glimpse of Him Who Must Be Adored.

MrsLucasNorth · 02/11/2010 18:44

Stripey - can I just say thank you and phwoooar!

'Womanizer' is one of my faves and something for everyone there too Grin

StripeyMoon · 02/11/2010 18:46

Pleasure MrsLN, he does have that 'look' just off pat doesn't he .

StripeyMoon · 02/11/2010 18:49

just wondering idly, how hard do you think it is to get into acting and in particular leading lady roles against a bad boy?

Theresaholeinyourmind · 02/11/2010 18:54

Just had the chance to view that myself, Moon. Thank you! Keep up the good work.

Fettle · 02/11/2010 18:55

Stripey thanks from me too!!! Big smile on my faceGrin. Seeing them all up close -
I'm still a Mr Thornton worshipper above all others!! That look he gives in the train station gets me every time!!

Thanks yet again for all the education! Especially the classical music interlude and stripey's. Scripts sound fabulous and full of integrity. It is the look and the voice and the mouth I think....

ASmallBunchofFlowers · 02/11/2010 20:14

Some very satisfying cravat shots in Womanizer. I will overlook the dismal soundtrack - we really need a bit more classical music, I think. Alternatively, this sums up the way many ladies feel about Mr Armitage, I suspect.

Stripey - I think someone on the first thread was intending to enrol at drama school so that she could canoodle with Mr Armitage, All In The Name Of Art.

Fettle - I too am acting from the Purest Motives. Before parenthood, I went frequently to the thee-ay-ter and have since perforce become a devotee of the small screen. I do appreciate a fine thespian performance particularly by a tall dark handsome man.

Plans for My Bad Boy Byron are developing apace. As costume designer, I will need to ensure that Mr Armitage's costumes are perfectly modelled to his physique, so there will be plenty of fittings. Clearly, I will need to throw my arms innocently around his neck in order to get the correct measurement for his vast repertoire of cravats. As lighting director (did I mention I was also lighting director?) I will need to study his visage from all angles, to ensure that those cheekbones are properly lit. All this is essential, to ensure that the audience can fully appreciate the Essential Truth and Beauty of his performance.

MrsLucasNorth · 02/11/2010 20:53

SmallBunch - when you said 'classic soul number' and 'sums up the way many women feel' - I thought you'd found a link to 'Let's Get It On'!

rofl Grin

MrsLucasNorth · 02/11/2010 20:57

OK - so we've covered the floppy shirts and the Gisbourne leathers - I think we need a new, modern take on the fan 'lit' front...I shall give it some thought overnight and tomorrow will submit the first chapter of a new novel/screenplay featuring the man of the naughties noughties - Guy Thornton-North!

Fettle · 02/11/2010 21:12

Flowers rofl!! Never seen that before!! Fabulous!!Grin. Thank you!!

Mrsnorth - sounds intriguing. Can't wait for your screenplay either! Wish I could write something....!Grin
