He is the creepiest man .... Makes my skin itch and me want to vomit.

oxocube · 23/10/2010 20:08

Well Simbacat, I wouldn't go that far ....! I have nothing at all against the couple and am happy they are happy but why on earth have a Hindu wedding? Seems slebby insincere

I actually like Russell Brand but this made me chuckle:

'According to the news agency, Press Trust of India, 21 camels, elephants and horses formed part of Brand's wedding procession from a nearby resort. He was also accompanied by traditional dancers and musicians.'

And yet they have appealed for privacy...as much as you can reasonably expect being folowed about by 21 camels, elephants etc Grin.

ValiumSkeleton · 24/10/2010 10:51

I agree simbacat. Totally seedy. Inside and out.

DramaInPyjamas · 24/10/2010 10:54

I like Russell.. He is a buddist is he not..?

BessieBoots · 24/10/2010 10:56

I find it irksome too, but I guess that loads of people who aren't Christians get married in church.

Mumi · 24/10/2010 13:10

Having a wedding according to your beliefs isn't odd, insincere, poncey or twatty Hmm He's been a Hare Krishna devotee for years and credits the movement for getting him off heroin.

CerealOffender · 24/10/2010 13:16

i like him, he is a one off. i wouldn't want to get stuck with him in a lift you understand but his babbling on the telly amuses me.

ILikeToMoveItMoveIt · 24/10/2010 13:20

I do find it a bit odd, but then I find it odd that lots of people in this country get married in churches and get their children christened when they don't attend church or follow that faith.

I heart RB though, he really makes me giggle.

mrsbaldwin · 24/10/2010 13:26

I am so glad you said this Simbacat (and others). Just even seeing a photo of Russell Brand gives me a slightly tinny taste in my mouth. It's as if even his picture gives off some kind of horrible hormone. I look at him and think 'ergh, you look all dirty and smelly, kind of musty, like you never wash and your jeans are greasy'. I especially hate those low cut V neck Tshirts. Anyway at least someone finds him attractive enough to marry him.

Mumi · 24/10/2010 13:32

ILTMIMI - he does attend temple because it is his faith!
I'm not exactly his biggest fan but I thought all this was quite common knowledge.

oxocube · 24/10/2010 15:08

Mumi, I had no idea! Thank you for the correction. As I said in my earlier post, I have nothing at all against either of them but found it an odd choice as I had no idea he followed this Faith.

Shock I just read he doing a remake of Drop Dead Fred!!! It's wrong I tell you! Why must they remake movies!!!!!!

EvilAllenPoe · 24/10/2010 15:14

so long as you believe in a god, i don't see why a Hindu temple would be inappropriate.

bodycolder · 24/10/2010 15:19

I like them they can marry where they like surely?

sharbie · 24/10/2010 15:20

he is hare krishna isn't he??

Tootlesmummy · 24/10/2010 15:21

I also think he is disgusting and she is an attention seeker too. That marriage will last less than 5 years!

passionfruity · 24/10/2010 22:35

Apparently they are selling pics of their wedding to a 'London magazine' - so much for wanting privacy.

I can't stand him (especially the way he talks - he thinks he's soooo clever using 20 adjectives in one sentence) and think she's completely deluded to believe that he'll be monogomous for the rest of his life.

wintera · 26/10/2010 11:14

I don't think they are selling the pics are they? I heard a statement was issued saying it was a rumour.

I like reading the Daily Mail comments when they have a story about RB they really make me laugh. One fella was outraged that they were getting married in India when neither is Indian! Well my brother in law got married in Cyprus but he's not Greek! Smile
