Mumsnetter on FB, how do I know who you are?

Sorry if it has already been asked, I had a wizz through the threads on the FB topic and could not see it.

I recently joined FB and have put MN as a "Like" so I see some threads on there with some RL mumsnetter names ans I do not know who is who IYSWIM.

For those of you who have friends on FB that are Mnetters, how did you get to be each other friends on FB (if you were not friends in RL already)?

You can PM people - look at the grey "inbox" on the top of the page - in fact, I'll go do it now

I picked up a few from a thread that went something along the lines of "Anyone want to be my FB friend?"

I see some of them have real MN royalty on their lists but I've never dared ask any of them to friend me in case they go "sorry, who are you exactly?"

Some people have spreadsheets you know!

fwiw I have loads of MN mates on FB. Now some of them I can put their real names together with their talk names, others I know that I "know" them on MN but don't know what name they use on here, and others I actually don't have a clue about but I assume they're MNers because I don't know them in RL.

It's also perfectly acceptable to ask them who they are - I've had friend requests from people with a note saying something along the lines of "I know you're a MNer because of our mutual friends but who are you? I'm xxxx"

I've got over 150 (maybe closer to 200 ) Mners or my FB.

I have a list on my PC that has FB/MN names for about 130 of them.........the newer ones I often don't have a clue and frequently have to be reminded.

First lot I added from the MN group on there, then I started playing FV and got more that way, now I seem to pick them up all over the places.

I do have one or 2 royalty on mine - not sure how I got them though

And, er, I've never worked out who royalty are, apart from vaguely thinking you might be somehow involved MaMoTTaT.

me? Royalty - good god no!!!!

I've never really worked out who they are either - but there's one or two names that always pop up on the "Royalty" threads who I happen to have on my facebook

Mind - when you look at their FB profile they're just normal people so who knows.

Im v easy to find on fb if you have friends in common with me, my surname reminds people of mountain dwellers, and when i was pg with ds it reached a point where i was ready to stab the next person to ask me if we were calling him john-boy.

(you have me on FB - have had to namechange on here but I used to be small, ugly and cried a lot)

(actually I'm still small, ugly and cry a lot but my talk name doesn't show this )

i have an account under this name for MN purposes, if people want to add me as a friend i'm easy to find. thats how i do it

nope - still confused about the mountain - and I'm 100% sure you are who I think your are on FB as your have a photo on your MN profile that's also on your FB

I'm in the facebook group - my initials are EH, and my current profile pic is of a turquoise lake with a bridge and rocky hillside in the background. I'd love to have more mumsnet friends (also needy ) - message me if you have probs finding me.

And I used to be StayingDavidTennantsGirl, but name changed because someone put my mumsnet nickname and my real name on her blog - but will probably change back soonish.

There is one who I don't know - I know she's an MNer, and an oldies (not a Moldies ) but I don't know who, but she's lovely ,and she always says lovely things about my DS's.
