practical solution?

Sorry a bit dull but I need to decide on a practical solution

I need a freezer.... I can either get an under the counter size for under my stairs in the house which loses a bit of storage space or I can get a bigger one for the basement which is accessed outside down some stairs.

The bigger one would be handy but could I be bothered going to the freezer in the pouring rain/snow etc?!

hmmm WWYD?

Both! I would get a nice one for under the stairs, and a big chest one - cheap or even from Freecycle - for the basement. Then the basement one can be full of stuff you feel you ought to freeze but will never eat (leftovers of cabbage, bargain casserole meat) and the one upstairs will have the stuff you need every day (Ben n Jerry's Ice Cream, Turkey Twizzlers, ice for Gin and Tonic)

I would get the one for inside. We've got one in the garage (fridge in kitchen doesn't have a freezer bit) and it's a pain in the neck when the weather's bad.

Thanks ladies - I have gone for one for under the stairs!
