Not sure about best parenting course of action

When we moved house the first thing we did was decorate dcs rooms
dd when she was just three pulled off some of her wallpaper so her room looked a mess
we told her it was wrong we were cross etc and dh mended the pulled off wallpaper
she's now four and did it again last week
her room looks a mess and makes me feel down when I see it and she picks at it at night despite getting really told off
dh says he won't spend money repapering it
short of ripping it all off and painting I don't know what to do
it's just three strips by her pillow, the rest of the room is still lovely
she just doesn't seem to care

Put a headboard on her bed and a pile of books on her bedside table for when she wakes up? Or maybe try giving her something like a silky blanket to fiddle with. Does she do it in the evening or morning?

In the evening
she's got tons of toys in bed to play with and a clothie , ie muslin cloth
she's not bored just naughty

Thats really tough to deal with because you dont want to give her too much attention for it but also need to stop her! Maybe paint is the best bet. Or how about fixing a large sheet of clear perspex onto the wall behind her bed so she cant reach the wall paper?

Does she take a long time getting to sleep? How about changing the bedtime routine somehow.

She goes to bed at 7 , same as her older brother after stories

If she does it lying in bed could you move the bed into the centre of the room so she cant reach? Or maybe try distracting her with a story tape playing while she is getting to sleep or something like that. Also, i'm sure you are already but make sure she is rewarded if she doesn't do it to encourage the good behaviour.
