LIZ JONES RSL - did we ever get to the bottom of it then?

Have been following the threads, but there is no definitive answer. Someone, somewhere must actually know - unless she really is making it up?

Hmm, well I was in Waitrose and DP kept looking (In a "I'm not looking at you" kind of way) at a middle aged guy with longish blond hair who looked like Status Quo-ish rock star.

DP kept whispering that he was sure he was famous but couldn't place him and didn't like to stare (Not that it stopped him) but I didn't have a clue who he was.

Anyway, we left at the same time and he got into an old Merc escort. I said to DP that his car wasn't very rock star-ish but DP said it had an expensive plate.

Couple of days later Liz mentioned that her rock star arrived at her farm in an old Merc.

Coincidence?

Can't imagine it's Juan Kerr. As someone said on a previous thread, she's probably shagging a drummer.

his first wife was animal rights nuts and so is the weird ms. Jones. I think it could well be but, why he would want his private affairs to be aired in public beats me.

Where was she supposed to have met him, at one of those dreadful 80's bands reunions?

Having said that "I Travel" is one of my favourite going out tracks of all time, takes me right back to being 17 again!! How I miss 1983!!!

After the drivel she wrote about her "wedding" preparations in the Guardian, and all the mud slinging about her ex-husband, why would anyone not fend her off with a shitty stick!

wikipedia says it s robert plant...that cant be true- she says this week he has a hotel in Italy.. someone mus t know- cant soemone watch the house and see who emerges. - anyone out there live near her ?! I find her column quite addictive- I think she moans and whines becaue thats what she s paid to do. Her interviews are good - she is agood journalist---but dammit who is the man who beds her..(grin)

i don't think you can take anything she says in her column as gospel

she apparently has changed countries/place names in an attempt to hide his identity.

so a hotel in italy means nothing!

How exciting! I thought Jim Kerr was lovely in the 80's... but not so much now (same could be said of me!)

Have just googled Liz jones Jim kerr and found an article she wrote on 2008, where she says the following:

I don?t hate men, and I certainly wouldn?t be against Jim Kerr
sending me an e-mail, should he be between wives (I waited a very long time for him to divorce Chrissie Hynde, and then he promptly married Patsy Kensit!), but I really don?t see the point of them. Not one of my four relationships involved much fun or laughter. I was never surprised with a mini-break, or even met from work and taken out for dinner

Jim Kerr was never 'hot', even in the 80's, let's face it, but he's probably interesting and loaded! If it is him, it must be a bit of a shock being with LJ after someone like Patsy Kensit, but perhaps she's a total nightmare, despite being gorgeous.....And perhaps he's up for a challenge in his middle age. BTW - I have loved Chrissie Hynde since I was 12, but to call her 'striking', as one person did...hasn't she always looked a bit weathered and skanky, even when she was young? In their wedding pics, Jim Kerr is the beauty!

Definately Jim Kerr. Read that Chrissie Hynde is to become Grannie by daughter Yaasmin in April to twin boys. MOS article today says she met daughter up the duff. cant stand the woman myself

I read that article with Dan Hipgrave too. Would lurve it to be Jim Kerr, imagine her insecurites around Patsy... But Jim has a Japanese girlfriend called Yumi, and RS is a recovering alcoholic, Jim has a lifetime aversion to alcohol and has never drunk. Surely, she has employed her poetic licence fully - why has no one spotted them together?! :)

Not Jim Kerr, says Jones in an interview in the Evening Standard today - seems JK wasn't best pleased at her hinting heavily it was him.

Latest Diary today (Jan 8th) has her admitting that it's not Jim Kerr (as she did in an Evening Standard interview a while ago). I'm guessing his legal representative had a few words with her, those words being "cease and desist". Says it's not Robert Palmer either although with him being very dead these last eight years, she might be in with a reasonable chance.

Robert plant is not dead ! He is however definitely not the RS, think it was for a millisecond Jim Kerr who bowed out a long time ago and is now just a figment of her demented imagination.
