I moved in November when I left ex, into a house with DS which is literally on the doorstep for his school. The rent is cheap, the house is lovely inside but I have no garden (which DS really misses). Trouble is my neighbours are all horrid Sad

I live down a terrace and usually at least 3 sometimes 4 of the households will be outside drinking together and playing music, shouting, singing, arguiing. If it's bad weather they all go into the house next door to me. Immediate neighbour is on his own with DCs and shouts and screams at them so much it scares my DS through the wall! The children down the terrace throw stones at the houses and their most recent game involved smashing the glass panels out of a discarded front door.

Half of the gravel from my front yard and the plastic sheeting was missing when I moved in, it is is another neighbours garden!

I have phoned the police before when a fight broke out after another neighbour went out to complain and even with the police there they were still so arrogant and blatant and after they left were discussing letterboxes and said something along the lines of 'if you helped them get out no one would suspect...'

I need to move don't I? Sad

It will mean uprooting DS again (he is autistic and doesn't like change).

I would defiantly move, you deserve better than this, and so does your son, even if it may unsettle him to start with, it would be so much better in the long run.

Start looking now, and good luck.

Thanks for your reply studiousSal, I have contacted some housing associations and am popping into my estate agent's office tomorrow to see what other properties they have going too.

I was so happy when I moved in here, the house (inside) is lovely. Sad I wish I could pick it up and move it to somewhere with nice neighbours!

Think I'd move too, hope something better turns up for you soon.

Agree- you need to look elsewhere. I think you know that too though!

NomDePlume · 24/08/2010 14:17

I'd move
