Would you send this bed back or have part replaced?

just bought a bed from ebay. looked good in the picture. 'faux' leather sleigh thing. Opened box, took out headboard, peeled off wrapping which was stapled it. Leather very poorly attached, ragged edge and foam showing. Tbh whole thing not looking great.
Seller has offered to replace headboard. Fair enough. But it is already beginning to feel like one of those doomed items .. in description there was a metal support, and when I said this was missing apparently it doesn't come with the single. I mean, probably you don't need one with a single, and item desciption has been revised, I can see. But it did make me think 'good strong bed', and now it's not there, and with the other fault, I am begining to wonder. Trouble is I am booked to go away, and sellers return conditions are 7 days (with buyer paying transport, which will be loads). I have left it that we'll swap headboard when I get back. Is this the sensible approach or would you be so put off as to go for full refund anyway?

The metal support is to go down the middle of a double bed, so that the wooden slats go from the side of the bed to the metal strip. You wouldn't need that in a single bed.

My son has one of those beds (though a double) - we bought it from Argos and it's been great.

If the rest of the bed looks OK (ie strong enough) and it'll cost you a lot to return it, just have the headboard replaced. But if the quality of the bed looks poor generally, I'd send the whole lot back.
