Why does she keep saying things like this?

umm

Because magazines come along and ask her for her opinions on a range of subjects based on the fact that she's thin and quite pretty. And she doesn't engage her brain before answering.

Northernlurker · 02/08/2010 18:54

I think she genuinely is that smug. I read an utterly nauseating interview with her a few months back. I had to stop reading to throw up. The person I feel sorry for is Bridget thingamajig - who had a baby first with Mr Gisele. Imgine Gisele being your ex's new dw.....bit of a nightmare situation!

WinkyWinkola · 02/08/2010 19:11

Oh dear.

thighsmadeofcheddar · 02/08/2010 19:47

It's just so smug. Words fail me.

Would that words could fail Gisele...

Northernlurker · 02/08/2010 20:39

here is the article I read It's .....interesting...

thighsmadeofcheddar · 03/08/2010 09:12

Oh my god, that article is ridiculous NorthernLurker. She is smuggery personified.

She really should just shut up.

I imagine she was also lucky, baby positioned nicely etc. I'll be very curious to hear what she spouts if the next one doesn't go so well.

TitsalinaBumSquash · 03/08/2010 09:32

ROFL at

'Naturally, she then got up and made pancakes'

Yeah because when you have just pushed something the size of a large WaterMelon out your fanjo what you really feel like is making Pancakes!

BongoWinslow · 03/08/2010 10:34

Well, I suppose she handed the baby off to one of the nannies while she had a lovely little potter in the kitchen. And then someone else did the washing up.

And of course it didn't hurt when her baby came out, so no wonder she was up and about. All those other women clearly just weren't trying hard enough.

Ugh. She needs a slap.

"I hadn?t looked at myself in a mirror for a month and a half".

Are we expected to believe that when it comes from someone who is basically paid a vast sum for how she looks???

Moi? Cynical?

Wanderingsheep · 03/08/2010 10:58

Oh fuck off, Gisele! I can't even be arsed to read the whole article, it's so nauseating!

Said of her birth "she meditated through it" and "she apparently got up to make pancakes." So?!? What does she want, a medal?

Wanderingsheep · 03/08/2010 11:02

Articles like this make me .

They're just there to make other women feel bad because they didn't have a certain kind of birth or they weren't back in their size eights straight after the birth! [fume]

Merrylegs · 03/08/2010 11:03

Yes. Well. To be fair to Giselle, she didn't actually write the article. She may well just have said 'I was hungry afterwards and had pancakes'.

It was rather stupid of her to say there should be a law about breastfeeding- but at least she is advocating it.
DV-O was slated on here for giving up so early.

The article NorthernLurker linked to is nauseating, but again, Giselle didn't write it. It sounded as if she had a really positive birth and has stayed holed up at home for 6 weeks - which is actually a really nice thing for mum and babe to do.

However what is unforgiveable is that she shares her smugly apartment and newborn with a potentially dangerous dog - 'don't look at it, it may bite'.

Now that really is stupid.

PosieParker · 03/08/2010 11:04

Silly silly woman, although she talks like a teenager, so little insight.

AnyFucker · 03/08/2010 11:04

I hate that article so much I cannot articulate it

shimmerysilverglitter · 15/08/2010 21:08

I posted about her first load of nonsense about a practically painless birth and got totally flamed, along the lines of "oh isn't it lovely to read a positive birth story like that blah, blah, blah?" er no.

I realise now that I should have posted it on this board to get a decent response Grin.
