Ringing an unanswered mobile with no answerphone

I got the number of the mum of DS' friend from school having suggested that we might get the DC together in the holidays. DS keeps asking if he can invite his friend round, so I have tried ringing the number a few times (I know I have the right number as she gave it to me and I rang it on the spot in order to give her my number). It's either ringing unanswered or switched off - thing is, if I try every now and again am I being a bit stalkerish? Should I leave it (given that it's going to come up as my number/missed call) or should I just keep trying till at least I can leave an answerphone message?

Text her with your delivery report switched on then you will get a message when it has been delivered (ie her phone is back on)
