I had a spiral perm 2 weeks ago and the crown area has just gone practically straight. Been back to salon and they have agreed to reperm just that area, will it damage my hair??

I think I'd thank my lucky stars and never get that drunk again

Breathe a sigh of relief.

Not a good idea in the first place then(hmm)

oh don't listen to them, how does it look?

if they are offering to fix the bit that didn't work i'd let them.

unless of course you've got my bad 90's perm in which case, you should buy a hat.

nanabtb · 25/07/2010 16:54

It looks fine except for the top area that has several straight bits in it, I have had this style for the past year and have always like it. Its shaped in a bob and naturally blond so the ringlets usually look quite pretty, not an 80's throw back. Just concerned reperming might dry it out, especially as the sun bleaches my hair too.

it might dry it but probably better than having straight bits. what did the salon think?

nanabtb · 25/07/2010 16:58

She told me to deep condition it today and again on Tuesday, and she will reperm and trim ends on Wednesday, so fingers crossed.

was going to say Id wonder how Id time travelled back to the 90s but that would be cruel

Im not sure Id be keen about them re-perming it. Could you go for advice at anotehr hairdresers? Dont tell them the other salon have agreed to redo it just say you were wondering if that could be done, you know, hypothetically?

Actually sounds nice and much better than the standard straightness.

Beginning to feel sick now, maybe I am living in a time warp. Don't think, tiny springy ringlets more Nicole Kidman sexy locks, am I portraying a slightly better image!!!

I think we need to see a picture in order to advise

SixtyFootDoll · 25/07/2010 17:09

If it was me I'd put my ra-ra skirt on and get back down the roller disco!
Sorry.

ZZZenAgain · 25/07/2010 17:12

if you've had this look for a while, it obviously worked before. Wonder what went wrong this time? I found the suggestion to go to a different salon and ask for advice a good one.

nanabtb · 25/07/2010 17:12

Thanks for all your confidence boosting advice lol!!

Maybe it is too heavy and you need some layers in it?
