christening present for godson

Need ideas for a present for my godson on his christening,parents not religous(I know why a christening)so a bible pretty much useless to him.HELP.

I am religious on ds christening I was bought loads of silver to clutter up my draws, dd is getting christened soon I would love to ask for clothes or money or a toy just something useful I won't ask as I will feel rude but it is what I would want HTH .

When dd was christened she got one of these I saw a little boy with one the other day and looked lovely and not girly, you can get different types like all silver beads, might be worth a look.

I loved dd's one and so did she. But she wore it everyday untill it broke would have been lovely to keep.

She also got a silver plated money box which is lovely but went rusty.

She didnt get any rosery beads which are need so if you get a really nice set, he could keep them for when he is older.

My DD received a lovely wooden noahs ark and animals so a toy with a religious nod. That was nice.

Also had a lot of silver that sits in a drawer now.

Since then Ive bought clockwork tin toys, a nod to childhood that last until adulthood and doesnt tarnish like silver.
