Didn’t have time to do this before , but as I have some time thought I would do a AMA about my housekeeper.

No need to justify it! Just count your cutlery 😉

Have definitely found an item or two in the bin after children scraped the plates over the years!

😂😂

Interestingly, since sending the kids off to uni, our cutlery retention rate has gone up considerably

Newsenmum · 14/10/2026 20:53

How much does it cost?

Although I suspect they've taken some with them? You'll never see it again.

I reckon that’s the problem. Except I’m not there to police it

For us? It's £460/week for 20 hours, plus we play pension and NI.

Yes I would think the cutlery is being scraped into the bin, this happens at home and it also
happens after functions at the village hall. It even happens after fish and chip suppers. Our cutlery goes off to picnics or school
in lunchboxes and does not always come back, especially teaspoons for yoghurts.

Well, that's quite the revelation. Never happened in our house!

She sounds like she’s worth her weight in gold, and people like that are really hard to find.

You’re obviously extremely switched on and that’s why you’re successful. You know a good thing and that’s why you make it ALL work for you and your family.

I really commend you if you don’t mind me saying!
