I have a housekeeper

Didn’t have time to do this before , but as I have some time thought I would do a AMA about my housekeeper.

Does she have set days off per week and do you pay her extra for working weekends? Does she stay overnight if needed? Also what contingency plans do you have if she is unwell?

She does have set days but will come in if needed luckily for me I’m her only client. She does not work weekends she has her own child . And we are away most weekends. If she is unwell we just manage . But I have had a cleaning company provide a cleaner for me in the past.

She’s paid well above minimum wage and is on a salary. Also I wouldn’t class it as women’s work

An American friend use to refer to the twice a week cleaner as her Housekeeper!

She’s on a salary and works 3 full days per week sometimes more . But not weekends

Why so rude? Having a housekeeper does not mean the employer is lazy.

After a busy day at work, the last thing I want to do is start a second shift. I’m
more than happy to pay to get my free time back and protect my sanity.

I have a way i like things doing around the house. For example the way beds are made etc When she first started did you show her? or did she pick up how the you liked things? If you know what I mean. tbh not exactly sure what I mean myself lol
