He wouldn’t be self-employed though he’d set up an SPV ie Ltd company so that he can pay corporation tax rather than income tax.

He would still re-invest his annual profit to build assets.

In which case he could making many multiples of the figures you are considering and reinvesting all that on top. Who knows? It wasn't the point of the thread and it seems a little stalkerish to be trying to work out the particulars of the OP's husbands business by trying to piece together clues and assumptions.

Yeah I was talking about the one I knew more closely. I believe them both though. One might have inherited it but I think they just both bought aons ago and never had much money bar that.

I have quite a few wealthy friends. I have never met a wealthy person who describes themselves as "rich". You get the occasional "successful" and a few "can't complains" but they seem to regard "rich" as a descriptor as pretty vulgar. This is not the only thing you've posted that's given you away, btw.
