I worked at a child psychiatric unit AMA!

I worked there in the early 2000s, in my twenties. I had a caring role mostly but worked very closely with certain children. The children were aged between 6 and 13.

It must be incredibly difficult witnessing little children in these circumstances. How did they cope overall? What's the prognosis for them?

What was the outcome like for them? Would they recover after a while and leave or were they likely to stay long term?

What sort of reasons were children as young as six there?
